Batch Yield Calculator

Features

  • Total Batch Weight: Enter the total weight (g) from your recipe (e.g., oils + lye + water + additives from the lye calculator).
  • Individual Components: Enter weights for oils, lye, water, and additives separately (useful if scaling recipes).
  • Water Loss: Default is 15% (typical for cold process soap after 4-6 weeks curing). Adjust if your recipe or curing time differs (e.g., 10% for shorter cures, 20% for longer).
  • Bar Weight: Enter desired bar weight (e.g., 100 g for standard bars, 150 g for luxury bars).
  • Mold Dimensions: Choose a mold shape (square, rectangle, half-circle, half-oval) and enter dimensions (cm). Uses specific gravity (default 1.08 g/cm³) to calculate bar weight.
  • Calculate: Outputs the number of whole bars, cured batch weight, weight per bar, and remaining weight for partial bars.
  • Links to the lye calculator for recipe inputs and the mold calculator for mold-based sizing.
