A Creative Break: Bath Bomb Class at the Little Red River Board of Education Conference
Wixy Soap had the wonderful opportunity to host a Bath Bomb Making Class during a large conference for the Little Red River Board of Education, held at the beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Edmonton West.
This annual gathering is a massive conference attended by around 500 participants, bringing together educators and staff for learning, collaboration, and professional development. Among the many activities offered during the event, our bath bomb making workshop was one of the optional creative sessions attendees could sign up for.
A Hands-On Creative Experience
To accommodate participants, we hosted two separate classes with 19 participants each. Every session was filled with enthusiastic educators who were excited to try something different and creative during the conference.
During the workshop, participants learned how to:
- Mix and measure bath bomb ingredients
- Add colors and fragrances
- Mold and shape their own bath bombs
- Understand the basics behind creating the perfect fizz
It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the hands-on process, experimenting with scents and colors while sharing plenty of laughs along the way.
Educators Becoming Makers
What made the experience even more special was that every participant was an educator themselves. It was inspiring to watch them step into a creative role, learning a new craft and appreciating the fun of making something with their own hands.
The feedback was incredibly positive, with many participants sharing how much they enjoyed the class and how relaxing and engaging the activity was.
A Memorable Conference Activity
The workshop was a great success, and we were thrilled to provide a fun and interactive break from the conference sessions. Crafting bath bombs allowed participants to unwind, connect with others, and leave with something they proudly made themselves.
