Our extra-fine Mediterranean sea salt is produced by naturally evaporating seawater from Spain’s Mediterranean coast. This process conserves naturally occurring trace elements found in seawater, including potassium, iron and calcium.

With no additives or anti-caking ingredients, this pure, food-grade sea salt is an excellent choice for cooking and for creating bath salts, body scrubs, foot soaks and handmade salt soap. Its extra-fine grain distributes easily and feels gentler in exfoliating products than coarse salt crystals.

Formulating Tips

Add directly to dry bath salt blends. For scrubs, combine thoroughly with your chosen oils and other ingredients.

When making cold process salt bars, work quickly because salt can cause soap batter to thicken. Cut loaf-style salt bars while they are still warm enough to slice, or use individual cavity moulds for easier unmoulding.

Extra-fine salt is less coarse than standard sea salt, but you should still test every exfoliating product for its intended area of use. Avoid using salt scrubs on irritated, freshly shaved or broken skin.
