Polyquaternium 10

Polyquaternium 10 is a cationic synthetic polymer with excellent conditioning properties for hair and skin.  It is an anti-static agent and film former, and will build viscosity in formulations.  As with other cationic ingredients, it does have a slight fishy odour.

• Hair Care: As a positively charged (cationic) polymer, it binds to negatively charged, damaged hair proteins. This smooths the hair shaft, provides superb wet combing, and reduces frizz.
• Skin Care: It acts as a humectant and forms a protective, thin moisture barrier that hydrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft.
