I have only ever done the melt and pour method and took this class to see what a different process does, very informative on safety and the importance of measurements for success
I quite enjoyed this and learned a few tips for my melt and pour, like what scents are best and why.
I recommend to anyone thinking about taking a class to do so!
I took this class since I was scared to work with lye and I would 100% recommend it. Not only do you learn to make soap and bring it home, but you also learn where to find the resources to make your own recipes. My only complaint is that I'm now too confident and have since made almost 30 bars at home. Oops.
My husband and I took the beginners class today and enjoyed every second of it. Di is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what she does. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, from measurements to mixing, which made the whole experience easy to follow and fun. We loved being able to choose our own scents and bring our handmade soap home. The class is very reasonably priced, especially considering the time, care, and instruction that goes into it. I can’t wait to try the soaps we made and I’m already looking forward to booking another class with Di. Highly recommend — we will definitely be back!
Hi Tanya, I'm so glad you enjoyed the class, learned lots and happy that I'll be seeing you again. Let's do it again soon. You guys were so much fun in class. It was a great class, wasn't it? Say Hi to Burke! You could post a picture of your soap on google or 'Friends who like Wixy Soap' on Facebook!
Hi Diane, thank you for bringing your granddaughter. It looked like she had a great time! I'm quite impressed with her, very talented young lady. You should figure out another class to come to together! Lotion perhaps? Hope to see you again soon. Di
