Di was super patient and super knowledgeable!
It was a great experience and provide a safe environment to create in.
Di had all the materials I needed and she had all of us make the soap on our own so we had hands on experience.
I would definitely recommend! I also met some lovely people also :)
Guylaine, send a picture of your soap! It was great meeting you both. You had great questions too. I'm glad you enjoyed the class. Come again!
Donna, thank you so much for organizing your group to come to a Wixy Soap class! And so much credit to your for being there. I hope you both love the soap and I'm glad you had fun! Di
What a great way to spend 3 hours. Di makes it easy to understand the process and assists every step of the way. Looking forward to attending more of her classes.
It was pretty awesome having you in class Kerry. So much fun as always. I'm glad you came and look forward to spending some more time together! And, thank you so much for helping clean up. It gets pretty busy at the end! Send me your pics tomorrow!
I am glad I stumbled upon Wixy Soap as it is nearly impossible to find soap-making classes in Calgary (where you don't have to put together your own group)! It is located in Sherwood Park, which is about 3.5 hours north of Calgary but I didn't mind the drive. This was my first soap-making class with Di and I really enjoyed it! This class was a fairly small group so it was very casual and hands-on. Di made the process very easy to follow and there was some good instruction on how to create our own soap formulas. Located in her home studio, what I loved was that all the materials were supplied and you didn't have to worry about the clean-up! My first batch didn't turn out too badly! I will be taking more classes with Di as I had such a positive experience!
Diane, thank you for a lovely review. I am so glad that you drove to Sherwood Park from Calgary (my home town too!) We are going to set you up for the liquid soap class for sure, end of August! I really like the look of your soap, pretty neat.
I look forward to seeing again this summer.
I took the class to learn more about soap making and it was well worth it!! Di is a great instructor!! She shares so much information in the class as well as in her manual. I left feeling VERY confident to make more soap! I brought home a kit and made another batch the next weekend. I was very happy with how it turned out!
Thank you Susan, my goal is to teach everyone to make a great bar of soap and to leave with a comprehensive understanding of some basic to intermediate soapmaking information. I want you to be able to make your own soap, your own recipes, and to trouble shoot any problems that arise. You can't learn that from copying from the internet. Hope to see you soon! Di
